Yacht Repair – Antifouling & Underwater Hull Service

Yacht Repair – Antifouling & Underwater Hull Service

Yacht antifouling, underwater hull preparation and maintenance by our own experienced technicians, with mobile teams available across Europe by prior arrangement.

Master Ocean provides antifouling application, surface preparation and maintenance for the underwater hull of yachts. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and maintenance.

We inspect the underwater hull after haul-out to assess marine growth, the condition of existing coatings and visible surface damage. Our services include hull washing, removal of loose or deteriorated coatings, sanding and preparation for a compatible coating system.

We help select suitable antifouling according to the hull material, existing coating, yacht usage and operating conditions. Primer, tie coats and antifouling are applied as required by the selected system, with drying times, application conditions and launch timing included in the work plan.

Local repairs to damaged gelcoat or protective coatings can be included following inspection and agreement on the scope. Blistering, suspected osmosis, corrosion or structural damage may require further assessment and a separate repair plan before recoating.

We also inspect accessible underwater fittings, sacrificial anodes, propellers, shafts, rudders and seawater intake grilles for visible wear, fouling or damage. Cleaning and anode replacement can be included where agreed. Repairs to propulsion components, shaft seals or through-hull fittings are assessed and quoted separately where required.

Our mobile teams travel to your yacht across Europe by prior arrangement and carry out the work ashore in a shipyard or another suitable work area. Haul-out, access, lifting, support arrangements and the planned launch date are agreed in advance.

Before starting, we define the preparation method, areas to be treated, coating system and number of coats, then prepare a quotation and schedule. Additional repairs, materials and costs are submitted for approval before proceeding.

During the work, adjacent surfaces and fittings are protected. Surface preparation and coating application are checked within the agreed scope, and relevant drying and launch requirements are reviewed before the yacht returns to the water.

Send us your yacht’s make, model, length, location and preferred work dates. Include the hull material, details of the existing antifouling if known, and photographs or information about any areas of concern to request an assessment.
