Yacht Hydraulic System Repair

Yacht Hydraulic System Repair

Yacht hydraulic system diagnostics, maintenance and repairs by Master Ocean’s own technicians with practical yacht repair experience. Mobile repair teams available across Europe by prior arrangement.

Master Ocean provides diagnostics, maintenance and repairs for yacht hydraulic systems and associated equipment. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and maintenance. Our mobile repair teams travel to yachts across Europe by prior arrangement.

We investigate hydraulic fluid leaks, loss of pressure, slow or uneven movement, overheating, unusual pump noise and equipment that fails to operate correctly. We review the reported symptoms, equipment details, available hydraulic diagrams and maintenance history to determine the necessary checks and define the repair scope.

Our technicians inspect hydraulic power units, pumps, reservoirs, filters, valves, hoses, pipework and connections. We locate leaks, check the condition of components and replace damaged hoses, seals, fittings and other faulty parts within the agreed scope. Replacement components are selected to suit the system’s specifications and operating requirements.

We inspect and repair hydraulic cylinders and associated mechanisms, including those used for gangways, bathing platforms, tender cranes, steering systems and other onboard equipment. The work required depends on the installation, access and the condition of the components. Where dismantling, lifting or workshop repairs are needed, these arrangements are agreed in advance.

Maintenance can include hydraulic fluid and filter replacement, reservoir inspection and cleaning, and system bleeding where appropriate. We select fluids according to the equipment manufacturer’s specifications and assess any flushing requirements based on the system’s condition and the repair being undertaken.

Our mobile teams work onboard at the yacht’s berth or in a shipyard. Access, equipment isolation, pressure release and working arrangements are agreed before starting. Where components need to be removed for workshop testing or repair, we agree the arrangements before proceeding.

Before starting, we define the scope and prepare a quotation, taking account of parts availability, equipment access and your preferred schedule. Additional work and costs are submitted for approval before proceeding.

After completion, we inspect the repaired areas for leaks and check the relevant equipment for correct operation within the agreed scope. Where applicable, checks include operating pressure, movement and the response of the serviced controls.

To request an assessment, send your yacht’s make, model and location, together with a description of the problem and the affected equipment. Include equipment make and model, relevant photographs, available service records and your preferred completion date.
