Yacht Engine Repair & Service

Yacht engine diagnostics, maintenance and repairs by Master Ocean’s own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair, with mobile teams available across Europe by prior arrangement.

Master Ocean provides yacht engine diagnostics, maintenance and repair services. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and maintenance. Our mobile repair teams travel to your yacht across Europe by prior arrangement, working onboard at its berth or in a shipyard. Access and working conditions are agreed in advance.

We investigate starting problems, overheating, fluid leaks, unusual noise or vibration, excessive exhaust smoke and loss of performance. Depending on the installed engine and available diagnostic access, we inspect relevant components, review fault codes and operating information, and identify the checks needed to determine the cause of the problem.

Routine servicing can include engine oil and filter changes, fuel filter replacement, impeller replacement, belt inspections and coolant checks, according to the engine’s maintenance requirements and the agreed scope. We also inspect fuel, lubrication, cooling and exhaust systems, including accessible pumps, hoses, connections and associated components.

Repair work may include replacing worn or faulty components, addressing leaks and repairing affected engine systems. Where a problem requires dismantling, workshop repairs or engine removal, we assess the requirements and agree the necessary arrangements before proceeding.

Each job begins with a review of the reported symptoms, engine details, operating hours and available service history. Where necessary, our technicians inspect the installation onboard to establish the condition and required work. We prepare a quotation and agree the scope, parts and schedule before starting. Additional work and costs are submitted for approval before proceeding.

After completing the work, we check the serviced or repaired systems for leaks and correct operation, as applicable to the agreed scope. Engine running checks and any sea trial are arranged where appropriate, with suitable access and operating conditions agreed in advance.

To request an assessment, send your yacht’s make, model, length and current location, together with the engine manufacturer, model and operating hours where available. Include a description of the problem, relevant photographs, any displayed fault codes and your preferred completion date.
