Yacht Electrical & Battery Service

Yacht Electrical & Battery Service

Yacht electrical diagnostics, repairs and battery servicing by Master Ocean’s own technicians with practical yacht repair experience. Mobile teams available across Europe by prior arrangement.

Master Ocean provides diagnostics, maintenance and repairs for yacht electrical systems, batteries and charging equipment. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and maintenance. Our mobile repair teams travel to yachts across Europe by prior arrangement.

We investigate power failures, batteries losing charge, starting difficulties, charging faults, repeated circuit breaker trips and intermittent electrical problems. We review the reported symptoms, equipment details, available wiring diagrams and maintenance history to determine the required checks and define the repair scope.

Our technicians inspect battery condition, connections, terminals, mounting arrangements and charging performance. We carry out battery testing and replacement where required, selecting replacements compatible with the yacht’s electrical system, charging equipment and intended use. Any change in battery type or capacity is assessed before installation.

We inspect and repair wiring, cable connections, switches, fuses, circuit breakers and distribution panels within the agreed scope. We identify damaged cables, loose or corroded connections and voltage drops, and replace faulty components where necessary.

Our services also cover battery chargers, inverters, alternator charging circuits and shore power connections. We check the relevant equipment and protective devices to investigate faults and determine suitable repairs or replacement options. Electrical upgrades are planned around the existing installation and the requirements of the equipment being fitted.

Our mobile teams work onboard at the yacht’s berth or in a shipyard, with access, power isolation and working arrangements agreed in advance. Where equipment needs to be removed for workshop testing or repair, we agree the arrangements before proceeding.

Before starting, we define the scope and prepare a quotation, taking account of equipment compatibility, parts availability, access and your preferred schedule. Additional work and costs are submitted for approval before proceeding.

After completion, we check the repaired circuits, connections and relevant equipment for correct operation within the agreed scope. Where applicable, checks include battery charging, voltage readings and the operation of the serviced protective devices.

To request an assessment, send your yacht’s make, model and location, together with a description of the problem. Include battery type and capacity, charger or inverter details, relevant photographs, available fault messages and your preferred completion date.
