Steel & Aluminium Hull Repair

Steel & Aluminium Hull Repair

Steel and aluminium yacht hull repairs carried out by our own experienced technicians. Our mobile repair teams work across Europe by prior arrangement, providing welding, plating repairs and component replacement within an agreed scope.

Master Ocean repairs steel and aluminium yacht hulls, including damaged plating, welded joints and associated structural components. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and refit.

We assess visible damage, corrosion, deformation and the condition of the affected area before proposing a repair. Where required, coating removal, thickness measurements or further inspection help establish the extent of deterioration and define the repair scope.

Our services include local hull plating repairs and replacement, welding repairs, and repair or replacement of affected stiffeners, frames and fittings. Materials and repair methods are selected to suit the hull construction and the condition of the surrounding structure.

Structural repairs are planned around the relevant repair specification, with surveyor involvement, inspections and approvals arranged where applicable. We agree these requirements before starting, together with access to the affected area and any equipment or interior components that need to be removed.

Our mobile repair teams travel to yachts across Europe by prior arrangement. Hull repairs are carried out in a shipyard or another suitable work area. Haul-out, vessel support, lifting equipment and workshop requirements are agreed in advance where necessary.

Before welding or cutting begins, we agree the working arrangements, including access on both sides of the repair where needed, protection of nearby equipment and appropriate hot-work precautions.

Following metal repairs, we can prepare the repaired area for a compatible protective coating system. Primer application, corrosion protection and finishing coats are included according to the agreed scope and the requirements of the surrounding coating.

Each project starts with a defined scope, quotation and schedule. Additional damage discovered during preparation, and any resulting extra work or costs, are submitted for approval before proceeding. After completion, we inspect the repaired areas and carry out the checks or testing specified for the project.

Send us your yacht’s make, model, length, location and hull material, together with photographs of the affected area. Include any available survey findings, previous repair information and your preferred completion date to request an assessment.
