Navigation & Marine Electronics
Yacht navigation and marine electronics diagnostics, installation and repairs by our own experienced technicians, with mobile teams available across Europe by prior arrangement.
Master Ocean inspects, maintains, repairs and upgrades yacht navigation equipment and marine electronics. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and maintenance.
We investigate problems such as intermittent displays, loss of GPS position, missing instrument data, communication faults and equipment that fails to start or operate correctly. Our checks cover the relevant power supply, wiring, connections, sensors and data networks according to the installed equipment and reported symptoms.
Our services include fault investigation, installation and replacement of chartplotters, multifunction displays, GPS receivers, radar equipment, AIS units, VHF radios, autopilot components and depth, speed and wind instruments. We also repair or replace damaged cables, connectors and associated components within the agreed scope.
We check communication between compatible devices and investigate faults in marine data networks, including NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 systems where fitted. Before recommending an upgrade, we review equipment compatibility, available installation space, power requirements and the condition of existing wiring.
Equipment configuration, software updates and calibration are carried out where supported by the installed system and included in the agreed scope. Where a unit requires specialist workshop repair, removal, repair arrangements and refitting are agreed in advance.
Our mobile teams travel to your yacht across Europe by prior arrangement, working onboard at its berth or in a shipyard. Access and working arrangements are agreed before the visit. Any installation requiring access to the mast or underwater sensors is planned in advance, including lifting or haul-out where necessary.
We assess your requirements, define the scope and prepare a quotation and schedule before starting. Additional work, equipment changes and costs are submitted for approval before proceeding.
After completion, we check the serviced or installed equipment for correct operation and communication within the agreed scope. Where calibration or performance checks require testing underway, sea trial arrangements are agreed separately.
Send us your yacht’s make, model, location, equipment makes and models, and photographs of the installation. Include a description of the fault or desired upgrade, any displayed error messages and your preferred completion date to request an assessment.
